Empyrean handfuls of dust aglow,
Navigating darkness, unfettered ships.
Ostensibly wandering to and fro,
Endlessly trailing, a cosmic ellipse.
Small sentinels of the blackness divine,
Reigning the night sky with a gentle hand.
Grandiosity of infinite shrine,
Safety in numbers, united they stand.
Who are these undisclosed identities?
Guardians of the sun, planets, and moon.
We behest upon fleeting entities,
Flickering faintly and then gone too soon.
Lost little souls, reclusive and pining,
With every ounce of their being, shining.
“Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.” ~ Theodore Roosevelt
