Writing is, indeed, a journey with heart,
Grouping lone words into cohesive themes.
Scribing one’s thoughts, a unique work of art,
Taking cues from life as well as from dreams.
When prose becomes labored I turn to rhyme,
At times are upbeat, and others subdued.
Whatever the style, a cherished pastime,
Entrusting me with a spirit renewed.
My fingers waltzing across the keyboard,
Elicit in me authentic delight.
Aesthetic manuscripts are my reward,
Enamored with the pieces that I write.
Eureka moments of inspiration,
Emerge from intimate contemplation.
“Good writing is supposed to evoke sensation in the reader – not the fact that it is raining, but the feeling of being rained upon.” ~ E. L. Doctorow
